History
Gallery pollution was created in 2010 in reaction to the apparent lack of zine culture in Northern Ontario. By producing, exhibiting and art-bombing* zines and multiples, we expose the communities of Northern Ontario to our art with the intent to generate interest and encourage others to create and participate.

*Art-Bombing – artwork created to be purposely abandoned or installed in public as a way of engaging those who discover it.

Mandate
Our mandate is to promote and encourage the creation of contemporary art in all multiple formats in Northern Ontario. These formats include but are not limited to: zines, multiples, digital cards (digi-bombing*), and all other forms of art-bombing.

*Digi-bombing – a form of art-bombing where a digital storage device is filled with digital art to be purposely abandoned or installed in public as a way of engaging those who discover it.
